‘Dream Big’ finalists chosen from record 1,000+ applicants; will be recognized during Annual Small Business Awards Program
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce announced The Trust Company of Tennessee as one of the finalists for its annual Dream Big Awards. The awards celebrate the achievements of small businesses and honor their contributions to America’s economic growth.
Founded in 1987 and with offices in Knoxville, Chattanooga and the Tri-Cities, The Trust Company of Tennessee currently has more than $4 billion under management. The firm helps individuals, families, business owners and nonprofits make better financial decisions through wealth management, personal investment strategy, corporate retirement plans, estate planning and personal trust services.
“We pursue success by helping our clients reach their financial goals, developing great talent and supporting our community and regional economy by sharing our time and expertise,” said Sharon J. Pryse, CEO and founder of The Trust Company of Tennessee. “To be among the finalists in the Dream Big Awards is humbling and a confirmation that we place our priorities in the right places. I congratulate our team for their work that has earned our firm this distinguished recognition.”
This year’s 27 Dream Big Award finalists were chosen from a record-setting more than 1,000 applications submitted from small businesses across the country.
“This year small businesses have continued facing every obstacle head-on, taking risks, working hard, and dreaming big in the face of ongoing challenges and uncertainty,” said Tom Sullivan, U.S. Chamber of Commerce Vice President of Small Business Policy. “Small businesses are a critical and vibrant sector of the U.S. economy, and the U.S. Chamber is proud to celebrate the very best in American small business through our Dream Big Awards.”
The Dream Big Awards program includes nine different Business Achievement Awards to recognize the excellence of leading businesses in each of the following categories: community support and leadership; emerging; green/sustainable; minority-owned; LGBTQ-owned; veteran-owned; woman-owned; young entrepreneur; and small business of the year.
The Woman-Owned Business Award recognizes the success of one small business and honors its contributions to the growth and diversity of the American economy. This award recognizes a woman-owned small business that has attained outstanding business achievement and exemplifies the significant contributions made by women-owned businesses in the country.
