The Trust Company of Tennessee has promoted Libby Gourley to the position of business architect, based in the firm’s Knoxville office.
Founded in 1987 and with offices in Chattanooga, Knoxville and the Tri-Cities, The Trust Company of Tennessee currently has more than $4.5 billion under management. The firm helps individuals, families, business owners and nonprofits make better financial decisions through wealth management, personal investment strategy, corporate retirement plans, estate planning and personal trust services.
Since joining The Trust Company of Tennessee in 2011, Gourley has served as operations officer and business analyst, optimizing financial operations to positively impact clients and internal team members.
“Libby has a critical role in helping our firm reach its client experience, strategic growth and organizational health goals,” said Daniel Carter, president of The Trust Company of Tennessee. “We are excited for her to continue building long-term solutions that move the company forward in her new role.”
Gourley utilizes her institutional knowledge and big-picture thinking by serving as a member of the IT Steering and Personal Trust committees. She has served on the board of the Innovest Users Group since 2017, as vice president, president and now board member at large. She also is a member of the firm’s Diversity and Culture Team, where she works to ensure that all team members are heard, accepted and celebrated for their differences.
