The Trust Company of Tennessee has hired Susan Weidknecht as retirement plan services (RPS) compliance specialist.
Founded in 1987 and with offices in Chattanooga, Knoxville and the Tri-Cities, The Trust Company of Tennessee currently has more than $4.5 billion under management. The firm helps individuals, families, business owners and nonprofits make better financial decisions through wealth management, personal investment strategy, corporate retirement plans, estate planning and personal trust services.
“With more than 20 years of experience in retirement plan compliance, Susan uses her skills to help clients in multiple ways, including ensuring accurate reporting and testing, and we’re glad to have her on the Trust Company team,” said Daniel Carter, president of The Trust Company of Tennessee.
Weidknecht is a Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA®) and a member of the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA). In her most recent role, she was a compliance analyst for Ascensus, providing administration and consulting services for 401(k), 403(b), profit sharing and money purchase plans.
She and her husband, Donald, reside in Old Hickory, Tennessee, and they enjoy fishing from their Boston Whaler and vacationing in Islamorada, Florida. She enjoys daily four-mile walks, reading, spending time with her two black cats, Beau and Pitch, and volunteering at Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary.
