The Trust Company of Tennessee has hired Miranda Carr as a wealth strategist.
Based in Knoxville, The Trust Company of Tennessee is a state-chartered bank with more than $3.5 billion under management. The company offers wealth management, corporate retirement and personal trust services.
“Miranda is a strategic addition to our team and will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to our company,” said Sharon J. Pryse, founder and CEO of The Trust Company of Tennessee. “She will lead our investment committee and provide investment support for our relationship managers. Her expert ability to analyze complex financial information and apply the results will serve our clients well.”
Carr, who has more than a decade of experience in the financial industry, previously served as chief operating officer of Lirio and president of its Finworx division. Finworx is a behavioral finance and engagement platform that helps advisors by identifying risk tolerance, biases and decision-making patterns. As president, Carr managed a team of research analysts, played a key role on the executive team and facilitated client relationships. She also previously served as managing director of public funds for Quintium Advisors LLC.
Carr earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Columbia Business School with a focus on finance and economics. She is a chartered financial analyst (CFA), tnAchieves mentor and member of the CFA Society.
Carr will be based in the Knoxville office. She and her husband, Adam, who is completing post-doctoral work in organic chemistry, have 13-month-old twin girls, Chloe and Leah. Carr enjoys gardening, baking, backpacking and international travel.
