The Trust Company of Tennessee has hired Ricky Maples as an accounts payable associate, based in the firm’s Knoxville office.
Founded in 1987 and with offices in Chattanooga, Knoxville and the Tri-Cities, The Trust Company of Tennessee currently has more than $4.5 billion under management. The firm helps individuals, families, business owners and nonprofits make better financial decisions through wealth management, personal investment strategy, corporate retirement plans, estate planning, personal trust and nonprofit investing services.
“Rick has years of experience in multiple accounting functions and his expertise and dedication to accuracy will greatly support the accounting team,” said Daniel Carter, president of The Trust Company of Tennessee. “We welcome Rick to our expanding team.”
Maples served as chief warrant officer-intelligence analyst in the Tennessee Military Department. He earned three associate degrees from Knoxville Business College in accounting, business management and computer science. He has worked as an accountant since 1990, most recently serving as a senior accountant for Solar Titan USA.
Maples grew up in the Washington, D.C., area and traveled to multiple places around the world while his father served in the military. Three of Maples’ sons still live in the D.C. area and are pursuing careers with the U.S. State Department. Maples continues to travel and enjoys spending time with his family, including wife Angila, and deep-sea fishing.
