The Trust Company of Tennessee has hired Caidren “Caid” Kear as a portfolio analyst, based in the firm’s Knoxville office.

Founded in 1987 and with offices in Chattanooga, Knoxville and the Tri-Cities, The Trust Company of Tennessee currently has more than $4 billion under management. The firm helps individuals, families, business owners and nonprofits make better financial decisions through wealth management, personal investment strategy, corporate retirement plans, estate planning and personal trust services.

“Caid is prepared to put his knowledge and skills to work in order to help our clients live with financial confidence,” said Daniel Carter, president of The Trust Company of Tennessee. “Our clients will benefit from his focus on account reviews to ensure holdings are aligned with their individual needs. We welcome him to our team.”

Kear majored in finance and earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee in 2020. While there, he placed second in the UT Investment Group stock trading competition and participated in the Financial Planning Association’s externship, where he completed 160 credit hours toward CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM (CFP®) designation. He served most recently as a property tax and treasury assistant at Vanderbilt Mortgage.

Kear lives in Farragut and enjoys wake surfing, working out, basketball, tennis and podcasts in his free time.
