The Trust Company, the oldest independent trust company headquartered in the state of Tennessee, is announcing it has reached an important milestone by reporting more than $2.5 billion in assets under management.
A diversified approach to protecting, managing and growing client wealth have brought the firm’s total assets under management to a new level. The Trust Company has increased the amount it manages at a rapid pace, reaching the $2 billion plateau in March 2013.
“This is a big milestone for our company,” Daniel Carter, executive vice president The Trust Company, said. “This is a real testament to our team’s ability, but we also couldn’t do it without the clients who entrust us with their investment accounts, trust accounts, retirement plans, and foundations.”
Founded in 1987, The Trust Company provides a wide range of financial services for clients. The company provides comprehensive wealth management services for individuals, provides investment, fiduciary and administrative services for retirement plans and administers trusts and estates. In 2012 the company opened its Chattanooga office, giving it three Tennessee locations.
“A lot of factors have converged—our excellent team, favorable market conditions and our expansion into Chattanooga and Johnson City—that have helped us reach this milestone,” Carter said. “While we are very proud of this achievement, we remain focused on the next best steps for our clients.”
