2 sticks of butter
2 cups self-rising flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 lb. sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
2 cups Rice Krispies
Red cayenne pepper to taste
Let butter and cheese stand until room temperature. Combine flour and salt. Mix butter and cheese together. (I find at this point that hands are the best tools.) Mix butter and cheese with flour mixture, blending well. Add Rice Krispies and red pepper (if desired). Form small balls, and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Press balls down with a fork (crisscross). Cook about 20 minutes at 350 degrees.
